One day a dog stole a piece of meat from a butcher’s shop and ran away.
On his way there was a stream. There was a plank across the stream. When the dog came to the middle of the plank, he looked down into the water. There he saw his own shadow. He thought that it was another dog with a bigger piece of meat in his mouth.
I must have that piece also,” thought the greedy dog.
So thinking, the dog barked and jumped into the water. His own piece of meat at once fell down into the water and was lost.

Lesson Learnt: Dedoyin Shobo

Greediness is a selfish excessive desire to have more of something (example: food, money, job) than is needed. A greedy person eventually lose all things even his life in most cases

He requested many animals to draw the bone out of his throat; but none came to his help. At last the wolf offered a good reward to any animal that could draw out the bone. A crane heard this. He came to the wolf and said, “I am ready to help you.” The wolf said, “Please take out the bone and save my life.
